sleeping-murderSleeping Murder: Miss Marple’s Last Case is a work of detective fiction by Agatha Christie or simply the mystery queen and first published in the UK by the Collins Crime Club in October 1976 and in the US by Dodd, Mead, and Company later in the same year. The book features Miss Marple. It was the last Christie novel, published posthumously, although not the last one Christie wrote featuring Miss Marple. The story is set in the 1930s, though written during the Second World War. She aids a young couple who choose to uncover events in the wife’s past life, and not let sleeping murder lie. This is a work of detective fiction. There are over 70 books of Agatha Christie and some of them were dramatized and some of them were famous play of all.

In this fiction, the main characters are newly wed and are enthusiastic couple named Gwenda and Giles. When they wanted to move to London to settle down, Gwenda alone moved and acquired house where she could feel some startling coincidences happened and some of the reaction by Gwenda shows that she was under miserable, queer and imbalance thought.

During this stage,  she meets Miss Marple who shows her intellect and personality and gently nudges Gwenda and Giles in the right direction. Since its beginning,  it picks up continuously and keeps engaging the readers throughout their reading. All the logic by Miss Marple shows her guiding sense to logical finish.

Gwenda explains to Miss Marple why she felt like her own home when she saw the house for sale. Also,  Helen’s  mysterious death came into Gwenda’s  mind, she could not get out of it and imprinted permanently.
Miss Marple’s suggestion to leave Gwenda alone, her husband Giles decision to find about  Helen was really thrilling. This story goes on with several possible suspects and all these put Gwenda in difficult stages of her journey. With the events been interpreted in different ways to suit the reader’s mind shows Agatha Christie’s lovely crime classics.
I rate this book 5/5five-star for the way it is written to solve a ‘perfect’ crime committed many years by uncovering clue after clue and amassing all the evidence.
